As a business, we support the 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the six Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), and the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our direct funds and separate accounts are active contributors to GRESB, the global ESG benchmark for real assets, which assesses the sustainability performance of our portfolios. With our ambition to be a leader in ESG integration, GRESB provides us with comparative business intelligence that allows our teams to understand how we are doing compared to our peers and where we can improve our ESG performance. CBRE Global Investment Partners, CBRE Clarion Securities and CBRE Caledon utilize GRESB to evaluate indirect investments and encourage companies and funds to participate in GRESB and join PRI.
Globally and regionally, our teams participate in ESG-related organizations including ANREV, Green Rating Alliance, INREV, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, the Urban Land Institute Sustainability Council, International Sustainability Alliance and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. Our clients also benefit from our relationship with CBRE and their ESG activities including participation with the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, The Climate Group, Delos’ WELL Building Standard, and the World Green Building Council.
For environmental factors, we implement initiatives to help reduce and monitor carbon emissions, waste, and the use of energy and water, and seek green certifications for our buildings, including LEED, BREEAM, Energy Star or HQE.
